Meet Cask & Vine Travel Co.
Travel Should Be More Than a Checklist
Cask & Vine Travel Co. was created around a simple idea: the best trips aren’t about seeing as much as possible. They’re about experiencing a destination well.
We specialize in thoughtfully planned journeys built around wine, whiskey, food, culture, and a strong sense of place. From the vineyards of France and Napa Valley to Ireland’s whiskey country, Kentucky bourbon, European river cruises, and luxury voyages, we help travelers slow down, experience more, and enjoy the details that make a trip memorable.
Our approach is personal, intentional, and designed for travelers who value quality over quantity.
Meet Dean
I founded Cask & Vine Travel Co. because I believe some of the best travel experiences happen when you stop simply visiting a destination and start experiencing how it lives.
That might mean spending an afternoon at a family-run winery, sitting down to dinner after a day exploring Irish whiskey country, traveling through France one wine region at a time, or extending a cruise with several days on land instead of heading straight to the airport.
I also believe in understanding the places and experiences I recommend. My own travels include firsthand destination research in Ireland, where I’ve explored Dublin and Kilkenny, visited whiskey and cultural attractions, experienced local hotels and restaurants, and looked at the destination through the eyes of both a traveler and a travel advisor.
That firsthand research is part of a larger commitment to continually building destination knowledge, supplier relationships, and professional training so I can provide clients with informed recommendations rather than simply presenting a list of options.
Wine, Whiskey & Culinary Travel
Food and drink can tell the story of a destination better than almost anything else.
Cask & Vine journeys are designed to make those experiences part of the trip rather than an occasional addition to it.
That could mean Champagne houses and vineyard stays in France, private tastings in Napa Valley, Kentucky bourbon distilleries, Irish whiskey experiences, chef-led dining, local markets, or culinary experiences incorporated into a river or ocean voyage.
The goal isn't to schedule every hour. It's to create the right balance of exceptional experiences and enough time to actually enjoy where you are.
Luxury Cruising & River Journeys
Cask & Vine also specializes in luxury ocean and river cruising for travelers who want to explore multiple destinations without sacrificing comfort, dining, or immersive experiences.
I continue to build specialized knowledge through cruise-line education and destination training, including training with AmaWaterways focused on European river cruising and the rivers of France, along with ongoing expertise in luxury voyage options such as Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
Just as importantly, we look beyond the sailing itself.
A great cruise can become an even better journey with the right pre- or post-cruise stay. We can pair a voyage with time in destinations such as Paris, Champagne, Bordeaux, Dublin, or other regions worth experiencing at a slower pace.
The Long Pour
Not every journey needs to fit into seven or ten days.
The Long Pour by Cask & Vine is our approach to extended stays and slow travel—designed for travelers who want enough time to settle into a destination instead of simply passing through it.
Whether that means several weeks in France, Portugal, Italy, Spain, or Ireland, these journeys are about neighborhood cafés, local markets, day trips, favorite restaurants, and developing the comfortable rhythm that only comes with time.
It's less about taking a longer vacation and more about experiencing what it might feel like to live somewhere else for a while.
Thoughtful Planning. Personal Service.
Cask & Vine Travel Co. is an independent travel business affiliated with WorldVia Travel Network, giving our clients the combination of personal planning and access to an established network of travel suppliers and industry resources.
But Cask & Vine isn't built around selling every destination to every traveler.
We want to understand how you like to travel, what you enjoy, what you want to experience, and what would make the journey meaningful to you. From there, we can help shape the hotels, transportation, tastings, dining, cruises, private experiences, and unstructured time into one cohesive trip.
Because luxury isn't simply about spending more.
It's about traveling well.
